another hiatus
May 19th, 2008 by CarynAfter all the waiting that we seem to do to get new episodes, it shouldn’t surprise any of us that we need to defer yet another week to get at the last 2 hours of the Season 4 finale.
If you want to watch reruns this week, “Something Nice Back Home” (Jack, flashforward) and “Cabin Fever” (Locke, flashback) will air Wednesday night from 7 - 9 p.m. on ABC. I know they won’t take the place of a new episode, but maybe you’ll notice something new the second time around–if you do, be sure to share!
In the meantime, I’ll be holding my breath until next week’s episode, slated to run from 8 - 10 p.m. Thursday (5/29).

Yep it’s a week off. At least it will help Lost dominate ratings as I think there will be no other network showing first run shows. On another note, Desperate Housewives also used the flash forward technique. The last five minutes showed what happened five years into the future in their season finale with similar Lost-type shockers. Not sure if next season will pick up at that point or show us how they got there. DH and Lost are kind of kindred spirits as they debuted in the same season, maybe they will have a crossover, but thats another blog…

The one redeeming value of the repeats are the comment captions — not that there is any earth-shattering comment, but sometimes I get a fact nugget from something I had missed.

My brother graduates from Kahuku High School Thursday night–NO WAY can I miss that! I’ll be watching the finale I plan to record (the old-fashioned way–I need to get TiVO) into the wee hours….

I think there’s another episode tobe replayed from 7pm to 8pm maybe with easter eggs? Anyway, I have to hope and pray for (1) no natural disasters to disrupt electricity and TV broadcasts that day and night (2) no personal emergency that will take me away from the TV.

They will re broadcast part 1 before the finale. It will feature an extended Oceanic 6 press conference scene with more questions…
