Emmy time!

July 17th, 2008 by Caryn

Ok, so I have never really paid attention the Emmys, and the chances of me watching this year are slim to none, but I thought that I'd post the LOST Emmy nominees because, let's face, it, this is the most news we've had all summer!

Anyway, it's not much. I would have at least expected Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick) as a shoe-in for supporting actor, but it seems he got snubbed! At least Ben (Michael Emerson) made it in. Still, I can't help but be a bit disappointed that the stellar acting in Season 4 seems to have been largely overlooked.

Luckily, the rest of the (behind the scenes) crew seems to be well-represented: sound crew, composers, editors, etc. Reminds me that it takes practically an army to bring us our Lost fix every year!

Outstanding Cinematography For A One Hour Series

Thomas deGorter, M.P.S.E., Supervising Sound Editor
Paula Fairfield, M.P.S.E., Sound Editor
Carla Murray, M.P.S.E., Sound Editor
Maciek Malish, M.P.S.E., Sound Editor
Lloyd Jay Keiser, Sound Editor

Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Comedy Or Drama Series (one-hour)
Lost • Meet Kevin Johnson • ABC • ABC Studios

Outstanding Special Class - Short-format Live-action Entertainment Programs
Lost: Missing Pieces • ABC.com • ABC.com / ABC Studios

Good luck to our nominees -- and btw GREAT choice on 'The Constant" for cinematography...I support! -- even though I won't be watching, I'll be sure to report any favorable results here.

    yay!

now we just gotta hope there's no more writer's strikes to screw up the remaining seasons.

i just remembered i had all of this season on DVR, in HD. thank you DVR!

  2. Bill:

No writer's strike, but have the actors (SAG) resolved their contract? I thought that was the threat to this upcoming season.

  3. Blackhatseo:

Added. Nice work on this one. Btw, my blog is dofollow, stop by and grab a link. Walter

  4. Willy:

Ben was good but for my money, Henry Ian Cusick is the man. Sayid was also excellent, esp. in the flash forward ep. with him killing Widmore's men in Germany.

It's Emmy time! Each year when the Emmy nominees are announced and the winners chosen, many television fans are left outraged when their favorite shows are left out of the race. This year's nominees are a nice mix of perennial contenders and new faces. Without The Sopranos and 24 in the running, many new candidates caught the eye of those Emmy voters.

i'm slowly seeing new commercials for NBC's shows that were put on hiatus due to the writer's strike (Chuck, Hero, Knight Rider). I wonder when ABC will do the same and tease us with Lost....

    oh yeah, congratulations again!
